2017 Annual Conference: State of Mind: Child Mental Health in Georgia

For decades, society treated mental health as a separate – and often lesser – priority, set off entirely from the rest of the health care landscape. Today, the tide is finally turning, and mental health is viewed as a crucial aspect of the development of our children and young adults.

However, much work remains to be done – stigmas still remain and treatment options are still limited. Grantmakers in Georgia have a role to play in ensuring all of our infants, children and adolescents have access to quality mental health care. At this year’s Annual Conference, the Georgia Grantmakers Alliance will explore this issue in depth.
