GGA Statewide Call: 2025 Legislative Recap

Tort reform, school safety, employment for justice-involved individuals, and state budget for infrastructure projects are among the decisions that state legislators tackled during the 2025 General Assembly, which came to a close on Friday, April 4. WABE reporters Sam Gringlas and Rahul Bali provide an overview of key issues addressed during the session and a post-session update. Then, Doug Ammar from Georgia Justice Project and Michael Waller from Georgia Appleseed will dive into policy decisions that will impact the criminal justice and education sectors in our state. They will also describe partnerships in which their organizations have engaged to conduct advocacy work on issues impacting their missions.
