2024 Annual Meeting: Workforce Development

The 2024 Annual Meeting provides a multi-dimensional exploration of strategies being employed to develop Georgia’s workforce to meet demands of industry and to provide individuals with pathways to livable wage jobs. Georgia is consistently ranked among the top states to do business and yet, in 2022, 13 percent of Georgia households earned below the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) and another 35 percent were ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households earning above the FPL but not enough to afford the basics in the communities where they live.
